Today in class we had the last groups present their webquests! There were a lot of great ones again today! :) I presented mine, and I was extremely proud of how it turned out! After that was done, we did a wrap up! Then, Dr. Day handed out our competency questions.  I didn't finish them, however, so it is my job to finish the questions and turn them in. I can't believe that today was the final day for Intro to Instructional Technology! This semester has gone by so fast! :( Thanks for a fun class!!!!! :)

Today was really fun! We talked about how to make lesson plans using a wordle! :) There were so many interesting ideas about wordles that I never would have thought about! We all went through our wordles and how we incorporated them into lesson plans! I really gained a lot of good ideas for my future classroom! :)

11-29-10

Class today was so much fun! It was very interesting to see all of the different WebQuest ideas from so many different content areas! Also, we talked about how we only have one class left! It is so crazy to think that the semester is almost done. :( I still cannot believe it! I especially liked Kayla and Leland's webquest. It was fantastic! Also, I thought that Amelia's was very inventive! Both of those would have been extremely fun to do! :) I like how I got a number of different ideas that I could use in my content area!

Today was a work day today! :)

I loved getting the opportunity to work on my WebQuest! Since it is getting to the busy time of the semester, the time to work during class definitely helps! :) Thank you! I like the fact that Dr. Day gave us all of the sites for templates, etc. That was extremely helpful when I was getting started! I am almost finished with my WebQuest, and I think that when I start teaching, I will make a lot more! Class was great today! :)

Class today was great! :)
We did another project during class! This one was about using e-mail in an elementary classroom to send a postcard. This was very crazy, because I don't normally consider elementary classrooms using technology/e-mail in their lessons. It was interesting to see what they were doing, and how the teacher was presenting the information! I thought it was a good idea to start introducing the technology into the classroom though at that young of an age, because our world is starting to turn into a world that uses technology all the time. They need to start catching up with different countries, states, etc. We also worked on our WebQuests in class today! It was extremely fun! :) I am going to do a disease one that will relate to Biology! It was great to feel like a teacher! :)
Thank you for giving us a lot of time in class to work on these! We all appreciate it!

Class 10-18-10

Class today was all about Google. It is the most popular search engine used today. I know that I use it A LOT, but it was fun to see how other people in the class use Google, as well. Even though I am a frequent user of Google, I still don't know a lot about it. I did not know about GoogleDocs. It looks very helpful for future educators or even students in the classroom. In class today, we went around to a bunch of different people and found out how they used Google. I found a lot of great tips from those discussions and enjoyed hearing about them! Google is fantastic, and I will continue to use it and the new gadgets that it has to offer! :)

Class 11-8-10

Class today was fantastic!! I learned so incredibly much about WebQuests. We started off by sharing our observations with a partner. I enjoyed learning about what technology was in the math class, and I had fun analyzing my own observation that had a lot of technology in it! Next, we got onto our computers. It was time to see some WebQuests that already existed. We looked at a dinosaur one and an army poster one. I thought that both of them were extremely cool! Then, we got to search for some in our own content areas. I had so much fun looking, and found some really cool ones! One of them included a disease that the students had to research and another one had the students research different animals to create their own zoo using genius and species names! Either one would be extremely fun and exciting for the students. I wanted to complete them right then and there! :) Hopefully, I will create one of these for my students in my future teaching years! Class was amazing today!

Class 11-1-10

Class today was really fun! I thought that the assignment that we had to do for class was a little repetitive, but I thought it was a great way to help us find credible websites! :) It made me realize that you have to look at a variety of different things when judging if the site is reliable or not. Also, we had to get into groups to discuss a website that we found that would be beneficial to us as teachers. I talked about my National Biology Teacher's Association site. Leland, Kayla, and Amanda also had some great sources that they had found! After we talked about that for awhile, we watched a video about website activities in one history class. It was a project, and we had to take notes about it. Then, we watched it again. I think that it was a good activity, and it possibly gave me a few more ideas for my classroom (research project ideas). I enjoyed class today! :)

10-4-10

We went over our assignment today. It was about the website, and it made us realize a lot of different things about planning for instruction. I liked how we got into groups based on our birthdays and discussed the different answers before the group answered. I think the answers stuck more in my head that way! I also liked going through the lesson plan step by step. It was nice to get it explained! :) Also, it was fun to get into our content area groups to discuss how we could use a wordle! Wordles are fantastic, and I think I can really use them in my classroom!

Class 9-27-10

Class was really fun today!!! :)
We went outside to take a class picture and figured out how we could possibly use it in our classrooms. There were some really good ideas! We also brainstormed lessons that we remembered. This was a fun activity because I allowed me to think back through my past classes! Then, we got to chat in partners about how we could make them into technology activities! That made me think ouside the box! It also gave me a lot of great ideas for the future! Class was fun today! :)

Class 9-20-10

I could not come to class today! I had walking- pneumonia! :( I was filled in by a classmate about what we did, however. I would have loved to have played with all of that amazing technology! An I-pad sounds like such a great piece of technology, and I would love to own one for myself. :) Hopefully, I will be able to come to the next class!

Class 9-13

Class today was AMAZING!! I loved how we got to make the wordles, and also, I enjoyed hearing a lot about the students in our class. It will make our discussions and bonding in class better! The wordle will work great in any classroom. If you need a bonding activity in your new classroom, wordles are a great way to start bonding!! I enjoyed this class a lot today!!! :)
